The short version

I'm Mariana, a Senior UX/UI & Visual Designer with over 15 years creating meaningful experiences across art, technology, and education. I love working with design teams and collaborating across departments to bring great ideas to life!

I’m Mariana, my curiosity for the human and the creative led me to earn a degree in Graphic Design back in 2004 and ever since I knew I wanted to become a designer that works in the digital world; from designing websites in Netscape composer, through Dreamweaver and Flash all the way to Figma and more.
My approach to design is daring, meticulous, and playful. I aim to intrigue, entice, and move people through my work. I have a natural curiosity that always pushes me to explore, investigate and learn what I don’t know.
I lived most of my life in Merida, Mexico, and I have the opportunity to get a scholarship to study Human Computer Interaction in Ritsumeikan University in Japan back in 2012 for 6 months.
Since 2014 I’ve been working remotely with different clients and teams all over the world. During my career, I learned how to I collaborate well with cross-functional partners including product managers and engineers. As well as, I am used to combining my versatile experience with my ability to connect with people in order to create the best work environment with my team.
When I’m not designing you can find me doing some gardening, cooking, taking care of my 5 cats and my little dog and planning my next trip to Japan (I’ve been there 7 times and counting).
